Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
Malumat adheres to the highest ethical standards in academic publishing, basing its principles on transparency, impartiality, and academic integrity in the production of scientific knowledge. Our journal adopts the ethical publishing principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA), and World Association of Medical Editors (WAME). The publication process is conducted in accordance with the principles outlined under the title Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing. For detailed information, see https://publicationethics.org/resources/guidelines-new/principles-transparency-and-best-practice-scholarly-publishing
The works submitted to our journal must be scientific in nature, original, unpublished, and not under review in another journal, in accordance with the aims and scope of Malumat. Each article must be approved by all authors before submission, and there should be a shared responsibility for the content.
Authorship and Author Changes
Authors are obliged to adhere to academic integrity and scientific ethical rules at every stage of their work. The names of the authors included in a submitted work should be determined based on their contributions and uploaded to the system with the approval of all authors. After the manuscript enters the review process, the addition, removal, or rearrangement of author names is only possible with the written approval of all authors. Otherwise, such situations are considered serious ethical violations.
Ethical Violations and Retraction Policy
Information defines the following situations as unethical behaviors:
• Plagiarism (unauthorized or uncredited quotation from other works)
• Data fabrication or falsification (fabrication/falsification)
• Duplication (publishing the same work in multiple places)
• Hiding a fake authorship or contribution declaration.
• Article slicing (artificially dividing a single study to produce separate publications)
• Hiding conflicts of interest
• Copyright infringement
In the event of detecting these ethical violations, the article will be removed from the review process; if published, it will be immediately retracted. If we detect unethical behavior after publication, we will retract the relevant article and publicly announce the justification.
Peer Review Process and Impartiality
We implement a double-blind peer review system in our journal. Every work submitted for the evaluation process is sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the field. Reviewers are obliged to evaluate the scientific content objectively, maintain confidentiality, and disclose any potential conflicts of interest. We do not accept derogatory, personal, or leading comments.
Ethics Committee Approval and Informed Consent
In studies involving human or animal subjects, ethical committee approval must be obtained, and this approval should be clearly stated in the article. It is mandatory to obtain informed consent from the participants. Furthermore, we anticipate that we have obtained the data through legal and ethical means.
Open Access and Copyright
Malumat adopts an open access publishing policy. All published articles can be accessed without any payment. Noapplication, evaluation, or publication fees are charged to the author(s). Copyrights belong to the author(s); the journal only reserves the right of first publication.
Declare Conflicts of Interest
Authors, editors, and reviewers are obliged to explicitly declare any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that may be relevant to the article. The lack of such declarations is considered an ethical violation.
Ethics Violation Reporting Mechanism
In case of any suspicion of ethical violation regarding the works published or under review in our journal, a detailed report can be submitted to the editorial board (contact address). The editorial board carefully evaluates these notifications and takes the necessary steps in accordance with COPE guidelines.
