Plagiarism Policy

Malumat is strictly committed to academic ethical principles and considers any form of scientific misconduct, including plagiarism, a serious violation. All works submitted to the journal are subjected to preliminary evaluation through plagiarism detection software (iThenticate or Turnitin). The editorial board examines the similarity rate qualitatively, not only quantitatively, but also in the context of the content.
Plagiarism can manifest in various forms, such as directly quoting from another work without citation, claiming ideas as one's own, reproducing text or data, translating without attribution, and unauthorized reuse of one's previous publications (self-plagiarism). Such behaviors are both against publication ethics and invalidate the evaluation process of the work.
In the event of plagiarism detection, the following steps are taken:
• If detected during the preliminary review stage, the work is returned to the author with justification before the peer review process.
• If we notice it during the peer review process, we immediately halt the evaluation and request an explanation from the author(s).
• If it is noticed after publication, the editorial board evaluates the situation and, if necessary, decides to retract the work. This situation is announced to the public with a statement.
The author(s) are deemed to have declared that the work submitted to the journal is their own, possesses originality, and does not contain any form of plagiarism. In the event of a breach of this declaration, the author(s) shall be held responsible for any academic, legal, and ethical consequences that may arise.
Malumat is based on academic integrity, transparency, and reliability during the publication process; it expects full compliance with these principles from all its stakeholders.
